Our Story
Located in the heart of the Port Union and West Rouge community, our studio is helmed by a dedicated team of passionate practitioners and elite instructors with over 20 years of experience.
As local owners, we created HEAT to be more than just a fitness studio — we wanted to build a space for the community, by the community. A place where people could challenge themselves physically, find balance in the chaos of everyday life, and connect with others on their own journey of growth.
HEAT is a space to reset, recharge, and rise — where you’re supported, appreciated, and empowered to show up as your strongest, most grounded self. Whether you’re here to sweat, stretch, or simply breathe, this space is yours to nurture your body, your mind, and your potential.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
MINDFUL MOVEMENT
Movement is medicine — but only when it’s intentional and aligned with proper form. That’s why our classes are grounded in the core Pilates Principles: breathe, control, concentration, centring, precision, and flow. Each session is designed to challenge your body, build mental resilience, and leave you feeling strong, focused, and energized.
HEATED CLASSES
We combine the intensity of heat and resistance with the precision of Pilates, the power of strength training, and the flow of mindful movement. When you add heat to the mix, you’ve got a formula that supercharges results, increases mobility, increases circulation, detoxifies deeper, and improves focus.

SEEMA MISTRY

Since 2007, Seema has dedicated herself to mastering and teaching the art of yoga, Pilates, and holistic wellness. With certifications in Bikram Hot Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Inferno Hot (HIIT) Pilates, Traditional Pilates, Soma Breathwork, bodyART, Low Pressure Fitness, and Pelvic Floor Education, her toolkit is anything but basic. She’s managed and taught in studios across the GTA and Australia. Her classes are smartly designed, seriously fun, and rooted in deep knowledge. With a warm, grounding presence and just the right push, Seema helps you build strength, longevity, and a little more joy in every move!

Since 2011, Debbie has been a leading force in the world of fitness, mindset, and wellness. From her time teaching at GoodLife, Lifetime, and Bare Yoga & Athletics, she’s known for her signature HIIT Bootcamp classes, high-energy coaching, and results-driven programs. A certified Sports and Macro Nutrition Coach, Debbie is also the founder of The Fitness Lab and FuelHER Wellness, offering science-based, personalized coaching that empowers without extremes. As a strength and conditioning athlete, she blends physical challenge with mental resilience. Her classes are bold, effective, and built to help you thrive — in mind, body, and life!

HIIT Pilates, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga
Originally from Mexico, Alex fell in love with yoga and Pilates after moving to Canada, and has been guiding students ever since. Since 2010, he’s shared his passion through a range of movement styles rooted in both discipline and joy. With certifications in Bikram Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Sculpt Pilates, Inferno Hot (HIIT) Pilates, and bodyART, his approach is dynamic and well-rounded. He’s taught in many studios across the GTA, from recovery-focused classes to energizing HIIT. Known for his high energy and signature whistles, Alex brings a bold, uplifting presence to every class — one that keeps you moving, smiling, and inspired!
KATHLEEN FRANCISCO

Mat Pilates
Kathleen fell in love with Pilates and it quickly became a practice that supported her in a whole new way. Inspired by her own experience, she pursued teacher training with the goal of making Pilates accessible, welcoming, and supportive for every body.
Certified in Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates, Kathleen teaches a thoughtful fusion of classic and contemporary Pilates. With a strong attention to detail and carefully curated playlists, her classes are designed to help you move better, feel confident, and leave you feeling empowered — both on and off the mat.
MICK MCKAY

Mick is well-versed in fitness and movement as a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Coach, she delivers thoughtfully structured sessions rooted in functional movement and smart programming. Her coaching style is supportive yet empowering, blending motivating energy with purposeful challenge. With a sharp eye for form and a strong presence on the floor, Mick encourages you to push your limits while feeling confident and supported every step of the way. Her bubbly personality creates a welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable showing up and putting in the work every time!

With years of dedicated practice in Pilates and resistance training, Alexis has built a strong foundation in movement, strength, and performance. Certified in Inferno Hot Pilates and CanFitPro Personal Training, she leads full-body work outs that blend functional strength with core precision. She believes growth lives just beyond the comfort zone and is deeply committed to cultivating a strong and driven community. Her positive and motivating energy creates supportive yet challenging classes to ensure you leave the hot room feeling invigorated and stronger than when you walked in!
